WW1 Commemorative Concert, Elkstone
28th October 2018
A concert of words together with interludes of live and recorded music at St John’s Parish Church, Elkstone reflecting the events of the Great War with particular reference to the men and women of the parish of Elkstone, as well as the county of Gloucestershire and beyond.

Led by the Clergy and members of the congregation we will explore the works of people with Gloucestershire associations such as Ivor Gurney, Gerald Finzi and Ralph Vaughan Williams and how the events of that period impacted upon them. Theresa Hester who is Finzi’s granddaughter has kindly agreed to play live for us

Tickets are now available at £10, and will include light refreshments. Proceeds to be shared equally between The Royal British Legion and the Fabric Fund of Elkstone Parish Church.
