Our annual Good Friday Pilgrimage around the churches in the Benefice took place on 29 March. There were seven who started at Coberley at 9:00am, and all the Benefice churches were visited during the day. We finished at Stratton a bit after 16:30. Five intrepid walkers completed the whole journey visiting all the nine churches. Some people joined at different points, others left, but by the time we reached Stratton church there were around 25 walkers.
At each church we paused for a short meditation (copies of the Meditation Handouts are available below), and finished off the day at Stratton with a short Good Friday service followed by tea and hot cross buns (thanks to Beth and team).
There was a brief stop at the Bagendon war memorial for a picture of those walking at the time, although the photographer and one dog are not visible.
