Ride & Stride, 2022
Remember! Remember the 10th of September,
The GHCT Ride and Stride.
You may well have thought, it just has local support,
But in fact, it is NATIONWIDE.
The Trusts, they give Grants to repair or enhance
our Chapels and Churches so dear,
But without that reserve they cannot preserve
these buildings – which could then disappear.
At St. Margaret's this year, a picnic is planned,
A lunch-time event for, well, all.
Betwixt 12 and 2 – a warm Welcome for you,
To Replenish; Recharge and Restore.
And you don't have to Walk or Cycle or Ride,
Please, just come along for some Lunch,
There'll be ham or cheese rolls,
cake and fresh fruit in bowls,
And our Apricot Flap-jack to munch.
Pop along if you're able to OUR Picnic table,
Whilst it's free – Donations are Great,
To support, as we must, the work of the Trust
September the 10th – MAKE A DATE!
