This initiative is again being promoted by Oxfam. The aim is to give clothes a longer life to reduce waste, because 13 million items of clothing go to landfill every week. So, for September or longer, the idea is to only shop second hand for clothes, and donate unwanted items to charity. 95% of textile waste could be used or recycled.
