Stratton Flaggery is a community-led project which aims to celebrate Stratton’s history. Everyone is welcome to join in and there are lots of ways to take part.
Download your copy of the Stratton History Trail from www.makingplace.co.uk for a self-guided walk of historic Stratton.
Saturday 2nd November is Stratton Flaggery Day when Stratton residents are encouraged to fly a flag outside their homes or businesses! Enjoy a walk around our lovely place to see Stratton fluttering. We will reveal specially made flags by local makers that you can visit on Flaggery Day. It is hoped that flags made by 1st Stratton and Kemble Brownies will be on display in St Peter’s Church, Stratton. Pick up a Flaggery Map from the Village Hall on 2nd November or download one from: www.makingplace.co.uk
Also on Saturday 2nd November there will be a Flaggery Day History Display in Stratton Village Hall, from 12 noon - 4pm. Pop down to the Hall to find out more about Stratton’s history and to pick up a History Trail and Flaggery Map. Add your memories to our knowledge bank. Bring your photos, artifacts and tales to share with your neighbours. There will be cake!
