You could play a vital part in helping bring the joy of reading to children at Stratton CofE Primary School! If you have any time to spare, please consider joining the team of enthusiastic volunteers and spending a little time regularly with the children listening to them read. This can be as much or as little time as you can offer at a time which suits you. The school would love for every class to have at least one volunteer every day.
Worried that you’re not qualified? The only skill you need to be a successful volunteer is to be able to read and to want to spend time inspiring children to read. The school will also be running a mini workshop on Wednesday 5th October at 2pm to outline what's involved. At this you will also have the opportunity to meet other enthusiastic reading volunteers, some of whom have been reading with the children for years!
